CORY / PAETH, an innovative medical communication agency based in Chicago, IL, seeks a Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative design background and experience successfully organizing, planning, and executing a variety of projects.
Scope of Work
Primary position responsibilities include production of medical, training, and marketing visual solutions. The designer will also have a hand in company-wide design decisions, and will assist in communicating the company design vision (both internally and externally).
The ideal candidate must be able to develop visual elements (including formatting and design solutions) that enhance message delivery, work within multiple design platforms, and take ideas from concept to completion. Experience managing various projects with changing priorities is essential. The candidate should have an exceptional eye for design and enjoy pushing the limits. CORY / PAETH designers are storytellers who enjoy simplifying the complex.
Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
Layout and illustration (eg, page design and 2D graphics/iconography).
Critical eye for aesthetics.
Self-management and project management abilities to meet all deadlines.
Collaborate with project teams to plan, analyze, organize, and execute projects within timeline and budget requirements.
Ensure all materials are in compliance with corporate marketing and communication standards.
Awareness of current technologies and trends in visual arts as well as a working knowledge of the latest software packages.
Possess an understanding of printing processes, color matching systems, cross-browser and cross platform issues, typography, and layout composition.
Strong creative problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
BA in graphic design or related field.
3-5 years experience.
Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint®.
Experience with Adobe After Effects and eLearning tools (such as Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate) is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and experience of illustration and design principles and concepts.
Previous project management experience in a cross-functional environment.
Experience successfully organizing, planning, and executing design projects from concept through completion.
