Our Chicago studio is on fire. We’re looking for an experienced Content Writer with the stamina and talent it takes to keep things blazing.

Our branding services include strategy and positioning, identity and design, brand architecture, prototyping, innovation, naming and verbal identity, research and analytics, environments and experiences, engagement and activation, and interactive and media design.

About the work:
Writing at Landor is more than a snappy headline or clever turn of phrase. It’s about the strategic creation of a brand’s verbal infrastructures from the ground up. Some of our core deliverables include brand names, product names, nomenclature systems, brand voice and messaging. We also help develop strategic positioning, brand manifestos, web copy, adlobs, video scripts, pitch decks, client presentations and other deliverables that deploy branded language.

About you:

You’re a strong writer, reader and speaker who believes language plays a vital role in the way people experience brands.

You can write in a range of voices, styles and formats. You can think conceptually, act creatively and pick words apart strategically.

You’re not the typical tortured writer. You like working with people and they like working with you. Be it clients or colleagues—collaboration gets you jazzed!

You can roll with things. Shifting expectations. Tight turnaround times. Ambiguity. Change. Some people find this stuff scary. Not you.

Must love:

Writing brilliant copy and digital content for some of the world’s biggest and most exciting brands.

Moving at a fast pace, in an energetic environment, where experimentation and collaboration are actively encouraged.

Must have:

5-8 years experience in content writing for brands. We’re looking for world-class writing skills that cover the whole range—from highly analytic to highly creative

Portfolio that shows a range of creative approaches, executions and deliverables including digital

Strong opinions—and an equally strong respect for alternate opinions

Energy and passion for learning the details of complex industries, businesses and topics

Familiarity with brand voice

Powerful presentation skills

Agency experience or compelling equivalent

Masterfully written cover letter
