As a Strategist, you will develop design and innovation strategies that lead clients to business success.
You will join our growing Design and Innovation Strategy team, and collaborate with the user research, design, and engineering teams to create elegant solutions to complex innovation challenges. You will work closely with researcher and designers and provide strategic consideration for each step of the innovation process.
Conduct market analysis using primary and secondary research. Analyze industry, market and consumer trends. Develop unique perspectives and find opportunities for business growth.
Work with user research team to develop quantitative and qualitative consumer research studies and translate the research data into actionable insights for our clients.
Facilitate co-creation workshops with key stakeholders to align the strategic direction for the future of their business.
Create forward-looking, evidence-based strategies that connect consumer needs and business goals. Evaluate the potential business and consumer impact.
Present strategic recommendations through data visualization, storytelling, and written analysis for our clients and internal teams.
More About You
You are comfortable with and fluent in discovering growth opportunities across multiple industries and developing tactical plans to turn opportunities into actions. You are excited about the opportunity to help the Design and Innovation Strategy team continue to grow and expand their capabilities and resources.
You have a degree in business, marketing, social science, design, or a related discipline -- MBA (or equivalent) preferred. You have at least three years in a management consulting, design research, product management, or consumer insights role. You have worked in a consulting environment for at least one year and are familiar with how they operate.
You are clever
You have a true passion for Design and Innovation Strategy, as evidenced by your career and education choices. You have extensive experience identifying business opportunities for the future, as well as with various qualitative and quantitative research methods. You have superior knowledge of consumer behavior and trends. You have a talent for seeing patterns in data. You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of how to connect consumer needs with business goals. You are a great storyteller with the ability to explain complicated concepts in a clear, concise way to clients and internal teams. You demonstrate high standards of workmanship and attention to detail and can help improve departmental processes and best practices.
You are curious
You like to explore new territories and learn from others. You have a deep understanding of the business framework, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and concepting processes, and you take the initiative to improve them. You’re also comfortable with global travel (role may include up to 10% travel), either on your own or as part of a team. You are self-motivated and have a demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
You are confident
You are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, because sometimes that leads to the most unique, unexpected design solutions. You possess a strong work ethic and are willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done.
You have excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills – all needed for research, facilitation, interviews, and client presentations. Your writing is concise, grammatically correct, and has the appropriate tone. You possess strong empathy and verbal communication skills that allow you to communicate with anyone and unlock what consumers are thinking and feeling.
You can work on-site in our Philadelphia office, and are willing to travel for client work.
