POSITION PROFILE

The New York City-based 3D Digital Media Designer is a junior position responsible for creating visualizations, 3d renderings and furniture models for the Marketing and Communications groups for use in print, web, video and emerging multimedia applications. The ideal candidate is someone with an eye for detail who can create highly realistic hard and soft-surfaced furniture models and can bring those models to life with a focus on material knowledge, texture mapping, lighting conditions and an artistic eye. In addition to creating and maintaining a library of high and low-poly furniture models, this role will also involve creating scenes in a variety of architectural environments with furniture, props, etc.

This individual will work closely with the Marketing and Product Development groups to ensure output is of the highest quality and meets our brand standards.

Candidates should be enthusiastic about furniture and industrial design, have a knack for visual design and be up to speed on the latest trends in visualization.

Required Skills:
EDUCATION:
BS/BA degree in design, engineering, electronic arts, or architecture or equivalent experience

Required Experience:
•Work submittal is required for consideration
•Relevant experience in 3-D modeling programs
•Must have stellar computer hardware/software proficiency with: VIZ, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, CAP, electronic video post production, and Adobe Creative Suite
•Proficiency with Unity is a plus
•Experience with AR and VR applications is a plus
•Ability to interact effectively with internal teams
•Demonstrated problem solving skills
•Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail
•Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
•Strong communication skills
•Self-starter, able to work in a team as well as independently
