The UX Designer will be an integral part in the business’ digital growth strategy. The UX Designer will lead efforts to optimize current user experiences and design and test additional designs, features, and functionality as we move towards an integrated, digital lead acquisition/policy purchase process, which includes landing pages, email campaigns, webpages, micro sites and web applications.

The UX Designer role encompasses designing user experiences from user flows and wireframes through final UI design, including writing requirements for development. The UX Designer will create and execute user test plans, A/B tests, surveys, etc., and use data collected to inform future design decisions. This person will also act as a liaison between the business and development teams to drive projects towards completion.

The ideal UX Designer must have the skills to translate complex business requirements into simple, elegant user experiences that drive higher conversion rates. The ideal person will have experience writing/editing front-end code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) as well as experience with print/presentation design (PowerPoint, brochures, banners, brand materials).

Responsibilities

Responsible for UX design and ongoing improvements for multiple online purchase and quoting experiences, websites, landing pages, and email campaigns
Create sketches, prototypes, wireframes, screen-flow diagrams & UI specs for testing and development
Create and execute user test plans, A/B tests, surveys, etc., and use data collected to inform future design decisions
Collect and utilize qualitative and quantitative data from usability tests and business analytics to make value-driven design decisions
Rapidly iterate on design prototypes and working applications
Analyze user as well as internal workflows and recommend areas to optimize
Provide design support during development and execution; assist with QA to ensure designs are implemented accurately and with the highest standard

Qualifications
Proven experience in direct-to-consumer ecommerce UX design and testing
Experience with landing page development and testing for B2C lead generation-based business
Understanding of best practices in UX and UI design principles and will be able to act as subject matter expert for the organization
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Communication Design, etc.)
5 – 7 years of experience in User Experience Design/Research
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, Office Suite, Prototyping tools (Adobe XD, InVision, Axure), various user research methodologies
Experience with CMS/landing page platforms (WordPress, Unbounce etc.) and marketing automation tools (Marketo, Optimizely, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude and be able to work effectively in a team
High attention to detail and able to work quickly to meet deadlines
Must have portfolio examples of sketches, workflows, interactions, end state work, and live examples
Understanding of / able to write HTML, CSS, Javascript
Experience with Agile development processes and responsive design
