A refresh of the AIM.com portal to coincide with the release of AIM 7. In addition to the visual updates, my team reworked the information architecture so visitors could find top categories more easily, and removed items based on site usage statistics.

My Role: Creative Direction
An individual product page for AIM for Windows. We were largely dealing with a legacy user base; this page focused on the additions and changes to the latest version of the software.

Role: Creative Direction
This was the first version of AIM.com to heavily promote our mobile offerings. Our Android offering was still in development at this time.

AIM.com Redesign (AOL)

To coincide with the release of the AIM 7.0 client for Windows, the AIM Product Design Team was tasked with refreshing the AIM web presence.

A key part of this task was a redesign of the AIM.com portal experience. We redesigned the site from top to bottom, simplifying layout and IA, refreshing the visual design and copy.

Under the umbrella of the AOL brand and as a part of their web network, we had to maintain certain elements that were common to the network: the header and nav structures, as well as the footer elements.

With millions of visitors a month, AIM.com was an important piece of AIM's (and AOL's) monetization strategy.
