University work (mini port folio) - This is some of the projects undertaken since starting at Loughborough in September 2006. They have been condensed into one file each as were sent out in a PDF. More projects and more depth on the pieces to follow.
Electronic Product - A weekend planner. This product would enable the user to download information about the specific destination. This would provide maps, points of interest, hot spots, night life and travel information. It Folds closed to protect the screen when traveling.
Re-Design Of LandRover Interior - This project was undertaken as we had seen the pressure on people to complete work to deadlines. It has been redesigned with the focus on the ergonomics of working in such a confined area.
Foldable Drawing Board - A foldable drawing board utalises the "live edge" technology which allows one piece of plastic to be folded into one functioning product. The target market of this product is students who have limited space where they live and are regular commuters.
Injection Mould Widget - An Injection moulding project that took an idea through development and to the design of the mould blocks.
Red Bull Can Opener - An injection moulding project that went from design through to manufacture with many widgets being produced. This project was shown to Red Bull and the use of there logo and name granted after they had been impressed with the work we had done.
University work (mini port folio) - CAD surfacing project. Concept USB.
Lamborghini Oil Bottle - Styling project. Taking a 2 litre oil can and designing it in the Lamborghini style.
Light Intensity Reader - Electronic Product. Light sensor to prevent eye strain in the design industry. This project encourperated design conception through to modelling. It also included producing a working electrical prototype that detected when the light levels dropped below acceptable levels.
Orange Juicer - This orange Juicr provides not only lateral force but rotational force to extract the most juice possible. This was designed and made at Loughborough university. Engineering calculation had to be done to ensure the user could easily use the product.
Ergonomic Work Station - An ergonomic workstation. This was designed using an ergonomic software called SAMMIE. This helped to ensure the workstation was adequate to the user. Reach contours, vision cones and postures can all be evaluated using this software.
