Interactive Environments - Thesis Project - My project demonstrated a communications concept that brought digital information into your environment. I built a physical space to demonstrate and mock up this "mixed media" concept. I also explored how the digital media would behave in conjuction with the physical devices (a screen, smart room, and a small pod that acts as storage device for email and other messages).

The target audience of this device was the elderly. The "inTouch" device alerts the user that they have a message by generating a glowing warmth and small bumps. To respond to the message, the recipient would give the device a quick squeeze back -- more or less a virtual hug.
