senior thesis drawings - [heal: retreat for the abused] this year-long thesis was a design for a taos, new mexico womens' retreat center. using native, organic and symbolic materials, the project involved development of architecture, as well as site and human interface. the building centers around a central light core made of backlit materials with varying opacities. the materials, like the women, develop and metamorphosize over time. the building mirrors the healing process the women must endure, thereby subconsciously aiding in their recovery. all drawings done by hand.
