Epitaphs
This is a small project I did as part of my master's degree. It was based on epitaphs around Culiacan City, in Mexico.
For decades people in town have traditionally placed small monuments marking the places where their loved ones have died. It is typically done when that person has had a violent death. Traffic accidents and shootings are the most common ones.
These posters illustrate different sections of the city, the volume of epitaphs per neighborhood and the type of death the victims suffered.
