Anchorage Cafe project

We renovated an existing restaurant and bar in downtown Anchorage to become the first Hard Rock location in Alaska during the summer of 2014. Taking inspiration from the brilliant gem like colors of the famous Northern Lights, the overhead lighting feature became a hanging "icicle" structure washed with warm lighting dispersed between the dichroic resin ice shards which changed appearance as you circle around the bar. All of the white materials used in the space had a pearlescent sheen or had an automotive dichroic paint applied to them to create a color changing effect as you moved around the space similar to the overhead bar feature.

Project contribution:
• Developed interior design concepts for the project including branding and iconic elements, color palette and FFE direction.
• Managed a team of external design consultants during the interior design development/documentation phase.
• Developed all Furniture prototypes and managed procurement.
