Train Depot Page 1 - This project was one of the first large scale projects done in Pullman. We were given a building that housed a train depot and were told to put a business of our choice on the main level with a residence above. I chose to put in a coffee shop with a separate concert hall because the building was located next to Washington State University. I focused on nature versus city and the hidden patterns within each one, which are mainly seen in the use of materials and shape of furniture.

Third Place Page 1 - We had to choose a third place and incorporate a restuarant into it. I chose to put in a graffiti studio because the site is located in the heart of the university district of Spokane, WA. I wanted to create a space that would be fun and safe for young people to come and freely express themselves.
Third Place Page 2 - The floor plan impersonates the flow of graffiti and pulls the customers further into the space.
The materials used are sterile and urban to create a contemporary feel and to allow for the work being created to act as the color and energy for the space.
Third Place Page 4 - There is an intricate ceiling plan to draw attention to the spray rooms without taking away from the activity going on at eye level.
Creative Office Page 1 - This project was about balancing a large space with a large number of employees while keeping the brand of the company evident within the space. We were given how many employees there were and what they wanted to see in the space. The main focus, however, was on branding the space and to make it interesting and exciting for both clients and employees.
Creative Office Page 2 - The brand for Klundt Hosmer was to show their uniqueness and ability to strive for excellence. I chose to focus on creating a fun space with varying views and perspectives, so each day would be different and each employee would not be looking at the same view everyday. This was done with odd angles and platforms.

Creative Office Page 4 - The most important part of the office space is on the mezzanine level where the "Think Tank" is. Here the employees can go and relax and toss ideas around without feeling like they are in an office space.
Memory Vessel Page 1 - We were instructed to take an object that is special to us and form a memory vessel to house all of the memories it evokes. I chose a diamond ring that was given to me from my mom on my 21st birthday. I wanted to form a cocoon-like capsule around the memories that would allow more layers to be added as life progresses. The adding of layers allows for continuous growth and movement. They also let the memory vessel slowly close around the memories and keep them safe until they are needed.

Habitat For Humanity Page 1 - This was our interdisciplinary studio project, where I worked with two other interior designers, an architect, and a landscape architect. We collaborated on a project for Habitat For Humanity, where we were given a piece of land and told how many units were needed and the square footage that each unit could be. My group chose to focus on private versus public spaces, since the units were condominiums, and allowing for each unit to have fair equity.
Habitat For Humanity Page 2 - The triplex seen below is the unit I designed and depending on how the triplexes are lined up there is both a semi-private front and backyard. The triplexes are also designed so that the triplexes can snake around the property and adapt to any location. More units could also be added on to the triplex so that it becomes a quadplex, 5-plex, and so on.
Habitat For Humanity Page 3 - Inside the triplex there is a public space on the main floor in both the front and back to provide safety for children, so they can be seen whether in the back or front yard. Each unit is also divided up to allow for semi-private spaces for each individual that inhabits the unit.
