I periodically design illustrated covers in Photoshop for imaginary books as a way to get my creativity moving. It's even better if the covers I create are for people I regard as personal heroes, from Gary Snyder and Mark Twain to Booker T. Washington, Paul Hawken and Pearl S. Buck. Currently, I'm developing a new series of book covers that concentrates more on the sustainability and Earth-centered fields; the list of eco-giants includes John Muir, David Suzuki and Jacques Cousteau. Look for those covers soon!
