IKEA innovation competition - For the IKEA Inter Systems Innovation Competition, as a team I designed a retail-system aiming on increasing customer satisfaction & sales and lowering the operational costs. Our design consisted also of an integration of the internet site, the design your own life campaign and an on-line shopping chart combined with floor plan of the store. The designs of the finalists were exposed in an exhibition at the IKEA Concept Centre in Delft.
Graduation Project, Royal Haskoning - The development of a method, which involves hospital stakeholders (staff, patients and visitors) actively in an early phase of the designing process of a hospital building. By integrating generative techniques, tacit and latent knowledge will be revealed resulting in a design which fulfils stakeholders wishes, needs and dreams. Tools were developed in order to reveal this information and inspire the architects. Research conducted in "het Westfriesgasthuis" in Hoorn, the Netherlands.
Competition Healthcare 2025 - Finalist of the international design contest Healthcare 2025, buildings for the future, organized by CBZ (The Dutch Board for Healthcare Institutions), In cooperation with EGM architects, Royal Haskoning en Lausanne Healthcare Group. Assignment: To create a shared vision amongst the participants applied on a fictional Dutch city in the year 2025 and designing a care solution.
Alldays, Procter & Gamble - Alldays introduced a new product on the pantiliner market. In a design team, I developed a marketing plan, a introduction strategy and a product/packaging concept.
Rejuvenating the Oce brand - In an international design team, we focussed on the Oce brand, identified the brand's unique selling points and designed a rejuvenating strategy.
Drazic - a sensitive soft toy - Conceptual design of a stuffed animal made of a sensitive fabric. The toy responds to the child when touched, wettened and can be used as a controller on the computer. The toy will support the child in the learning process.
Vision in Product Design - Child/Parent Communication Tool - A communication device to improve contact between working parents and their children. Children can send their parents images, for example a drawing made at school. It is also possible to communicate a different way. The parents and children could make up their own language; for example if the device glows, the child wants to give a hug. It is their own private individual part of their personal life in a very collective environment.
