Fields, Tractors, and Bicycles - 1st Place Design - To be built and installed in the city in 2009.
Bike rack designed for a Greenwood, MS competition. The rack is inspired by antique tractor wheels and cotton field rows disappearing into the horizon. The hoop shape was chosen because of the simplicity and functionality of the design. The hoop allows many different bikes to be supported and safely secured to the rack.
Fields, Tractors, and Bicycles - The hoop design that I chose can be found in other bike rack concepts. I feel that this shape is the most functional of all the designs because of the number of attachment points that can be found when securing a variety of bicycles.
Fields, Tractors, and Bicycles - The simplicity of the design includes 4 steel parts welded and powder coated to be bolted to the ground. The steel plate in the center will be laser cut and welded into the bent steel hoop. The base plate is a 3/8" steel plate welded to a connecting stand. This specification is based on standards in other cities that currently implement city bike parking.

Ryobi Lithium Ion Branding Research - Ryobi Lithium required it's own identity from the existing Ryobi powertools. During in depth research in 6 cities across the country an opportunity was found using a color that users related to emergency vehicles and industrial equipment.
