Final product The new dog harness has received a GIO-award 2016
Prototyping To make sure the dog and handler have the best possible product we did a lot of iteration sessions. This ment making quick and dirty paper samples, drive over and fit and/or test them. In a later stage the samples evolved into hand sown harnesses (by me). Every session gave new insights and it was the challenge to keep the product clean and simple, but also integrate all the functionality that would benefits its end users. I was the main designer and responsible for these sessions and translating their outcomes into the product

CASE - KNGF geleidehondentuig

For KNGF we developed a new dog harness. Preserving the 'craftmanship' of the current harness, but bringing it into this century. We were able to introduce high-tech techniques (like the carbon fibre handle) that benefit the dog and human and we kept key characteristics, like the leather on top.
I was one of the key designers in this project, although I stepped in after ideation phase. We did a lot (a lot and a lot) of iteration to get the perfect fit and handling. Also finding the right producing party and specifications was one of my responsibilities.
