Through some sketch sessions (2-3 designers) and several foam models to find out which shape is most fitting, we ended up with this pebble shape.
I was the main designer in this project and did sketching, foam model making, 3D modelling, prototyping and guidance into production phase.
Design
The design is based a the concept of a 'pebble'. Outer surfaces are shaped in a way that the can contain the electronical elements inside and at the same time look and feel friendly and soft, although they are made out of a (cold) plastic

CASE - Philips ActiveLink
Make a casing for an activity monitor. Should be worn all the time, underneath the clothes. Therfor we came up with the 'pebble' -idea. One of the few hard-goods you enjoy holding against your skin. The shape should illustrate this feeling.
