I was in both Prelim and Development Barbie Design- Where I sold over $1 Billion Dollars at Retail. - This is a "snap shot" of the numerous concepts that I helped create.
Dentist Barbie - This was one of my first dolls for Barbie. I worked with Kitty Black-Perkins, she did the fashion and I designed all of the hard goods-- as well as fought to have Kelly included!! It was a real challenge making "dentist" fun--but we DID Girls LOVED it :)
Secret Messages Barbie - As a development designer I took this concept all the way through manufacturing. Including all of the "friends" that make up a Barbie segment. There are TONS of meetings and details...you have to integrate all departments to ensure a delivery date.
Birthday Party Barbie - As a development designer I was able to help with the "challenge" of how to get Barbie to blow-out candles and blow-up balloons via a bellows in her back...not via a tube. I also designed the "disappearing" wick of the candle.
Ken & Tommy - As a development designer I helped to bring this from concept to the store shelf. Using clear plastic parts helped with the "magic" of Ken helping Tommy to swim.
Stacey Pupet Show - I helped Stacey McBride with the concept and the creation of "Happy".
Furniture for Barbie-- - This was work I did in Form Z and had SLA models made. The desk with the black chair was for CEO Barbie.
Cool Shoppin' Barbie - I designed the hardgoods as well as the package insert playpattern.
Generation Girl Barbie - I was a development designer responsible for all of the hard goods I re-designed the director's chair and was able to save a ton in costing.
Generation Girl Barbie - I re-designed the director's chair and was able to save a ton in costing as well as did all of the control drawings for TONS of the accessories and followed them through manufacturing.
Christmas Barbie - The idea is to have each package look great on it's own along with driving the collectability to get BOTH dolls.
Police Bike Patrol Ken - This was a concept to help define Ken. He was to be a Pro Mountain Biker turned Police Bike Patrol at the beach.
Bead Blast Barbie - I created the first chair to ever hold Barbie in place so you can comb her hair.---Her hips were perfect for "locking" her into the chair...and I got the nick name "chairman" due to the number of chairs I created.
Some of the 100's of concepts - Working along side other designers.. I lost count of how many concepts I created and presented...usually with no time to "sketch"..just build and present :)
Barbies Kitchen Island - I built this in Form Z and had an SLA model printed. I designed the mechanism and had an awesome model maker (Steve Ryniker) build it.
