Initial renderings of the very first concept.
From the back, you can see that I included a notch to lock in the 3.5 mm headphone jack and then added rails (not sure what to call them?) to wrap the earbud cord around.

The real object was quite a bit bigger than I wanted, although it still worked really well for its intended purpose. You can see how the earbuds can be held in place inside a notch going through the front side of the part.
Back view. The design of the logo also conveniently provided a nice cover for cable management.
The second version was considerably optimized, cutting down on the overall size and amount of material used while keeping the very same features as the first. While the first one was about the size of your hand, this one was made to be around the size of a business card for better portability.

To make better of use of its cable-managing capabilities, I recessed the features into the part itself and use the outside edges to create walls that held the earbud wire in place.

Personal Logo Earbud Wrapper

This project is something I helped put together for a friend as an assignment for her class. The concept was to take her personal logo and create a novelty item out of it, or using it. It's currently on version two, but we've only gotten the first one prototyped thus far. Hopefully v2 is coming soon!
