Mr. Caterpillar - As you can see, Mr. Caterpillar is a kids toy. He was designed to aid the development of fine motor skills in kids while at the same time teach them how to assemble a puzzle. It was important to keep this activity fun so that the child wouldn't loose interest. Bright colors and an affectionate character help add some personality to the process of learning.
Bottle Stopper - This is a bottle stopper i designed and made in first year. the project had a fairly undemanding brief...we had to pick two words out of a hat...i got "futuristic" and "bottle stopper"...the rest is history.
Candle Holder - Another basic brief...we were asked to design a candle holder. i decided on a modern aesthetic, combining materials that complement each other aswell as the form. i produced this prototype myself in our workshop.
Santiago Chessboard - This was designed while on Erasmus exchange in Porto,Portugal to commemorate the legacy of Santiago de Carvalho. The pieces emulate the classical architecture of his house which is now a museum while the board is stepped in order to reflect the landscape and simulate the descent into battle.
Miele Outpost Kitchen
Miele Outpost Kitchen - The Outpost Kitchen is a modular kitchen unit for offices and is aimed as a go between the desktop and the canteen. it eliminates the 'outpost' or ad-hoc kitchen that pop up on windowsills and desks in our workplaces.
Some of the features - Pictured above are a few of the system's features. The Induction Tea Set is an attempt at making the office more environmentally pro-active as well as being convenient. The Bic-Biro Cutlery,Desktop Dining Booklet and Inbox/Outbox Fruitbox are all light-hearted attempts at promoting healthier office eating
Flush - Flush is a modular toilet unit designed specifically for secondary school environments. The main aims of the concept were to tackle maintenance issues, hygiene, and problems surrounding bullying...It won the 05/06 RSA Design Directions Competition under the Design for Real Environments Category.

Beo-Capture - Beo-Capture is the result of a branding exercise. I had to design and detail a Bang & Olufsen product that they do not currently offer. The project helped to understand the importance of brand identity and how to conform to specific design ethics.
Beo-Capture - Pictured above are views of Beo-Capture from the rear and in the open position. The rear face of the camera swivels around to reveal a display screen. The controls can be used to program slideshows or display specific images. This is in keeping with the B&O philosophy where a product is never 'dead' when not in use.
Barcode-Wriststraps - This is my Final Year major Project. Its a pretty big project aimed at improving the quality of service in bars and clubs and making responsible drinking easier!Described in detail above...if you have any questions then be sure to leave a comment
