I produced all manufacturing drawings & planning drawings for Sunderland Council. 3m x 3m x 1/2m. 12 Ton Indian granite. The piece points East & on Easter Sunday 2010 frames the rising sun behind the lighthouse. Sunderland was the location of the Venerable Bede, who calculated the dating system of Easter. C2C Project Sunderland - Series of large scale artworks by Andrew Small to mark the final 2.7km C2C cycle route. The images are lenticular images with several frames and rotate as the cyclist or viewer pass by the piece. E.g. the digits in the waymarkers tick down meter by meter as you pass the panel. The Sun marks the beginning of the route, nine planets markers lead to the final piece, to be installed. My role was to work up all pieces from sketches objects for manufacture. I also produced drawings for planning.
