A New York Book Show First Place winner. The challenge with this project was that it was an ABC book, so the letters on each page needed to be sequential to the alphabet, yet tell a seamless and believable story. Joe Boddy, the illustrator makes the reader fall in love with Bink and Dee and route for them. This book was a wonderful example of collaboration between teams - design, editorial and the illustrator. I may have suggested the pacing and ideas for each scene, however Joe made recommendations which made the story stronger.
