Avenue Q - Costume Design

These costumes were designed for the Hungarian premiere of the Broadway and West End hit, Avenue Q.

We departed from the original designs and gave them our own spin and style.

I introduced the use of electroluminescent wire in the oriental costume as well as remote detonated pyro effects in the Geisha wig of the same costume. This design got an ovation...the first for a costume in any theatre I think!

The other main change was we didn't use Gary Coleman as very few Hungarians would have known whom he was, so we subsituted him for Michael Jackson to much hilarity!
