I designed the table as a conversation starter. It doesn't matter at what angle you're seated, there's always something to look at from anyone's vantage point.
Michael Gira, frontman of Swans. Along with religious symbols, which are also used on their albums.
Rock 'n' roll couple Jeniffer Herrema & Neil Hagerty from Royal Trux. The devil's goat-legs and the car are a reference to the album 'Accelerator'.
Lydia Lunch.
I was lucky to see the purple couple, New Orleans based Quintron, live once.
Gil Scott Heron. Also, The Fall's Mark E. Smith & Brix (in thinking balloon). In the background there's the (P)Harmacy from Sebadoh's eighth album.
The insanely talented R. Stevie Moore. Hovering above him as an astronaut is Arthur Russell.
Multi talent Mike Patton, with a posse: Company Flow, deep down in the NYC metro system.
J Dilla, flanked by the Simpson's Lard lad. Plus the weird monkey animal from Soul Coughing's 'El Oso'.
Public Enemy frontman Chuck D and Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon in a car, referencing the famous 'Goo' album cover by Raymond Pettibon.
The sides of the table carry all the names of the featured mucisians on banners.

Shout Out

Music venue Patronaat (Haarlem, Netherlands) asked me to make an art statement on a salon table. The table's now placed in Patronaat's smoking lounge. I decided to do a shout-out to musicians I'm most inspired by. There are more than I can cram on a salon table, but I was stil able to make some headway in numbers.
