Bachelor of Art & Design (Honours) Industrial Design
University of Canberra
2015 - 2016
I completed my graduate degree in Industrial Design in June 2016. My Honours research explored weight reduction in fly fishing reel design through the use of composite materials in design and manufacture. I examined how the possibility of a vastly lighter design could improve RSI and upper body pain experienced in fly fishermen, through a predominately user centered design approach.
My dissertation research expanded on my previous skills and work with 3D printing technologies, alongside vastly improving my knowledge of composite materials. It also gave me further experience to rapid prototyping via outsourcing, and saw me working with manufacturers overseas for the first time to produce parts. Additionally, the project required approval from animal and human ethics committees within the university.

Bachelors Industrial Design
University of Canberra
2012 - 2014
Between 2012 and 2015 I studied my bachelors in Industrial and Product design. This degree gave me many skills on my way to becoming a product designer, including sketching, extensive CAD skills (modelling and rendering), model making, presenting my work to clients and to an extent, working with local companies to rapid prototype and produce various pieces of work.
