Hello there.
My name is Harry Brockley and I've just finished working at Zing Performance in the United Kingdom. I'm currently living in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. I have a strong passion for games design and feel I could be a valuable asset to a team, whether it be game balancing, new mechanics, level design or straight up testing to see how a game works. I enjoy working alone but enjoy working within a team even more, I have a lot of ambition to excel in the programming department of games development through personal teaching or a course.
My other passion within games is testing games. Finding little problems in games is satisfying and challenging. My work at Zing Performance has really helped me to look to Quality assurance across multiple platforms and to have a keen eye for detail.
I've just completed a game called "Runner Runner" which is heavily inspired by Bit Trip Runner and follows the same level based system for a running game. This is a complete independent project that has been released on Android.
A few years ago I began working on a summer project with two friends named 'Solace: The Escape'. For us the game has been quite a big success as our first little project selling almost 10000 units.
My final year project was called "Remembrance". The game is a story driven experience of a man who feels he has done dreadful things to his family. In the future psychologists go to great lengths with their memory rehabilitation program to uncover buried memories.
My primary skills and passion lay within level design, games design, interface design, playtesting and project management. I enjoy talking to people and discussing ideas, presenting is also one of my primary skills. The software I use to achieve my goals are currently Unity and UDK.
My secondary skills are found within a more art based background. I can model within 3DS Max along with the unwrapping. Texturing can be done through Adobe Photoshop as I have several years of experience under my belt starting with my photography course in college. Creating particle systems within engines such as UDK and Unity are also something I enjoy doing.
