I am a seasoned designer and craftsmen in pattern making, sewing, tailoring for couture garments, costumes and ready to wear. I am seeking a challenging creative position, that will allow me to work with my hands or advance in the knowledge of construction. I have a broad spectrum of artistic endeavors including; owning and operating a wholesale clothing line, owning and operating two retail stores and hosting fashion events.

Work History

Experience Ric Rac Clothing San Francisco, CA * October 2006 – Present Owned and operated clothing store in Pasadena named Ric Rac which was sold October of 2008. Ric Rac produced its own label Ric Rac Clothing Co. and sold vintage and one of a kind clothing. Sold Ric Rac Clothing to 40+ stores internationally, thousands of customers independently, and dressed celebrities including Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian. I currently work at 440 Brannan showroom, where I sell Ric Rac Clothing & make custom order garments, costumes. Archetype San Francisco, CA * March 2010-June 2012 Owned and operated Archetype Boutique on Market street in San Francisco Sold Ric Rac Clothing and independent designer labels. Curated multiple fashions shows and designer pop up shops featured in San Francisco Chronicle and Dailycandy.com Archetype closed its doors in June of 2012 as a result of the sale and redevelopment of the Warfield building. Teatro Zin Zanni San Francisco , CA * September 2008 – January 2011 Worked seasonally at Teatro Zin Zanni as a stitcher and freelance tailor. Responsibilities included tailored made costumes for performers, headdresses, beading, and couture sewing for actors and acrobats. The Sewing Workshop San Francisco * September 2008 – Present Conceived, marketed, created curriculum for, and taught sewing courses at San Francisco’s Sewing Workshop Courses: Patternmaking 101, Patternmaking 102, Patternmaking 103, Skirts 101, Skirts 102, Skirts 103, The Cocktail Dress, Vintage Reconstruction, The New Hoodie Class, Tailoring 101, Vintage Rescued and Re Vamped Joseph Altier Walker Los Angeles, Ca *July 2004 -December 2006 Assisted the owner in design, pattern making, creative direction, production management, sampling, manufacturing, showroom coordination and office management. Current Projects D-Structure, I manage part time production for a retail store that is starting a clothing line. Project Nunway, Co-producer for a recycled fashion show that is held annually.
