Organic is a way of life, a cult that embraces all who wish good for mother earth. Moving along similar lines I aspires to introduce Eco fashion as mainstream fashion by changing the stereotypical ‘out of the farm’ image of Eco clothing and opening new realms of natural dyeing.

Work History

Objective Challenging position with the unit, which will strengthen the organization and my individual self. Also, aiming for endless horizons in the design industry with an eco-friendly flavor. USP Natural dyeing including rust dyeing, compost dyeing and eco prints. Various shades and prints achieved on both natural and synthetic fabrics. Hemant Lalwani and Nandita Raipurani; Designing and Production of tassels for the Women’s Indian wear range by the designer duo Kotwara by designers Meera Muzaffar Ali; ? Contributed to the preparations for Wills Lifestyle fashion week AW 12 fashion show ? Sampling, Draping and Production of 2 dresses for the collection ? Pattern making and sampling for the collection samples ? Illustrations for the entire range Upasana, Auroville, India; ? Part of the team working for the launch of Janaki-house of conscious living, a multi-brand store under Upasana ? Managed Designing and Production of goodies for the Kids section at the store ? Shared knowledge of natural dyeing and natural dyes with the Upasana staff. ? Explored options of accessories constructed with waste fabric, to be included under Upasana product range
