I work with teams to turn screens with menus and buttons into ergonomic environments. We start by taking the time to understand user needs through direct engagement + data analysis. Next, a bit of cartography: journey mapping and system mapping. Well informed and with intuition and empathy engaged, we render wireframes and behavior specifications and reiterated as needed.
At a high level, I'm a generalist and in the past I have been deeply engaged with education technology, museum design, the study of teaching + learning dynamics, and community based projects. For me, design is like a religion that's always reminding me: we don't have to accept things as they are because they have always been that way. We have the power to reshape systems, practices and realities. It's a good time.
