Directly responsible to the company president for leading creative efforts of a diverse, 400-person company supporting the Department of Defense and other Government agencies with multiple programs relating to military family support, veterans’ reintegration, soldier readiness, and a myriad other important tasks. Responsible for maintaining the corporate brand for all company materials, electronic and hardcopy. A key member of the Skyline management team, by creating effective graphics and user interfaces and offered significant analysis and advice on improving work processes. Led development and implementation of a streamlined web-based collaboration portal using Microsoft SharePoint. This fast paced project was able to go from low-fidelity mock-ups through focus group testing and refinment, to detailed wire frames and and supporting documents to a fully functional product in 3 weeks. Effectively demonstrated to less technically-inclined senior staff members the value of automated tools in the proposal and program management process.

Created the GUI for an application able to instantly diagnose a certain medical condition. Collaborated with both the IT and the Marketing department while established a corporate brand for all company materials, electronic and hardcopy. Completely redesigned corporate web site and created “sister sites” for major programs, refined a consistent identity, while keeping the user experience in focus. Authored and executed an eight-week advertising campaign that helped secure a major contract award. Developed and then ensured successful completion of marketing materials, both created in-house and outsourced through consultants/sub-contractors.

Site based Volounteer - Living Classrooms, Glen Echo Park, MD

Volounteering at a outdoor center for children, where learning incorporated “hands on” experiences of the environment.
The Living Classrooms Foundation strengthens communities and inspires young people to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as “living classrooms.” Proceeds of programs go towards an after-school/summer program for low-income urban youth.

Leading the 110 people deep online community “D.C. Creatives” by organizing “meetups” with various themes relevant to the wide range of creative professionals and students. Our vision for the group is to learn from and inspire each other, and together increase the creative capacity and reputation of Washington, D.C.
