This was a ground up project with United Tote to design and develop a user-friendly wagering terminal that can easily flip between teller and patron self-service wagering. This project began by recreating the user environment for both the teller and patron completely out of foam-core to evaluate and optimize ergonomics, terminal setup, and serviceability. The internal architecture of the terminal was then defined based on ergonomic and patron/teller/service tech feedback. Concept sketches were then created, evaluated, and refined to produce a functional 3D appearance model that could be interacted with. The result is a user friendly wagering terminal built with United Tote’s EnterBet™interface designed to increase speed and productivity to heighten the wagering experience.
