Hello, my name is Bliss Buter-Thompson. I am the Lead Packaging Designer at Jansy Packaging. Jansy Packaging is an award winning packaging design agency that focuses on practical creativity. We create the best solutions for our clients by merging conceptual intention with manufacturing knowledge. As Lead Packaging Designer, I play a role in every stage of the process from concept development to final production as well as mentor junior designers. Until Jansy's recent acquisition, I was employed at Burgopak USA-a packaging agency famous for their sliding packaging mechanism. During my 8 years there I worked my way from Associate Packaging Designer to Studio Lead. I received a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art in 2005. This art background has provided me with a diverse skill set, entrepreneurial spirit, and a unique perspective. In my free time I volunteer with Chicago Bike Buddies and Women Bike Chicago, teaching new urban cyclists the rules or the road and how to safely navigate urban terrain. My other interests include dabbling with digital mediums, crochet, house plants, my two cats and my partner Felix.
