EXPERIENCE Full Sail University August 2011 - present Associate Course Director Teaching Designing Computer Graphics, a course introducing students to Adobe Illustrator. Emphasizes vector based graphics while stressing the importance of technique, color theory and image creation and output. Assists with developing and maintaining a higher learning curriculum in order for students to keep pace with the ever-changing field of design. Disney Design Group, Walt Disney World® Company January 2005 - present In-house Freelance Graphic Designer Collaborates, with multiple teams, in conceptualizing and designing merchandise for the Walt Disney World® and Disneyland® Resort theme parks. Develops artwork for mulitiple high selling lines. Sets up print-ready files for domestic and overseas vendors. Handles numerous artwork requests at any one time while meeting demanding deadlines. Attends creative meetings regarding direction and expansion of new and existing artwork. Assists with approving softline product samples and making sure the integrity and consistency of the artwork is maintained. Oversees the Design-A-Tee program art by updating and organizing art files. Has produced mulit-paged Style Guides for new art programs. International Academy of Design and Technology January 2003 - August 2011 Adjunct Instructor Taught Typography and Graphic Design I classes. Responsibilities included giving lectures regarding theories and principles of design and typography, assigning thought provoking projects while encouraging the development of concepts, critiquing student work and motivating them to establish strong, communicative designs. Lead instructor for the Graphic Designers Club assisting students with creating and organizing projects, for in-house school needs and outside clientele in the Orlando area, while providing real-world experience for club members. Freelance Graphic Designer April 2001 - present Committed to developing and creating compelling artwork and designs. Most recently successfully created merchandise, including album designs, posters, and tee shirts, for nationally recognized band thus generating additional revenue while touring. Clients have included The Wood Brothers, MMW – Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Dillard Street Elementary, the International Academy of Design and Technology, Universal Studios, et al.
