I seek to design ordinary things. Ordinary things are thoughtful, approachable, durable, and beautiful. Ordinary status is the ultimate achievement a brand or product can attain--few brands or products have sustained their commitment to it--those that have posess a culture of consistent commitment to excellence, innovation, and empathy. All others fade away. My life experiences in a variety of cultures, contexts, and locations have only broadened my understanding of the ordinary. I strive to design things that deserve to exist, that build brand trust with long-tail financial returns, and make a positive contribution to the world, however small it may be.
