Goals: An opportunity to use my energy, talent, and problem solving ability to bring successful, innovative designs to life. To create the vision of what a product can achieve and exploit that potential to the smallest detail. Experience: Owner: Davis Design, San Jose, CA September 2010 - Present Freelance product and graphic design service. Senior Product Designer: Fox Head Inc., Morgan Hill, CA April 2003 – September 2010 Designer of protective equipment and performance apparel in off-road and street categories for the Shift Racing division. Designed the most commercially successful and high-profile products produced for the brand, from helmets to boots and everything in between. Worked within a small design team of experienced designers while mentoring junior designers and working directly with the brand manager, product manager, and developers to meet objectives. Provided all conceptual and production documentation from concept to graphics to renderings to tech packs in 2D or 3D formats. Garnered extensive knowledge of development and manufacturing methods, from injection molding to pattern making. Product Designer: Letica Corporation, Rochester, MI November 1998 – November 2002 Responsible for all new plastic and paper container product designs of one-quart to seven-gallon capacities, for industrial and consumer applications. Invented and implemented a patented sealing solution that drastically improved performance at reduced cost. Product Designer: Arca Systems, Tacoma, WA April 1996 – November 1998 Responsible for the development of products focusing on efficient totes for agricultural and automotive markets. Part of design team creating a high-end produce tote distributed by the largest container management pool. Education: B.S.
