Clint Ford - Freelance Technical Illustrator
I specialize in creating technical illustrations for use in Technical Manuals and Instructions. People always complain about a product they just bought and how hard it was to understand the directions and illustrations to put it together or to learn how it functions. My goal has always been to create illustrations that you can look at and understand immediately what the intended purpose is. You shouldn't have to read the text of an illustration to understand what is going on.
As a freelance illustrator I provide illustration services to a variety of clients in the outdoor, medical and automotive industry. I've also created editorial illustrations for many national magazines. Clients have included: Chaco, Patagonia, Boa Technology, HD plus, Amway, Sierra Designs, Saatchi and Saatchi, Architect Magazine and Bloomberg Business. Clients I have been thrilled to work with: HD Plus - I worked on a large project to create illustrations that would be displayed on an interactive tablet to explain the operation of a new home dialysis machine . It felt great to work on a product that would make life easier for patients diagnosed with diabetes and to assist nurses with the training. My mom was a nurse her entire career and always complained of terrible instructions. Testimonial - "I am truly grateful for your responsiveness and service level. It's been terriï¬c and most appreciated."
