Mixed Reality Driving Simulator

Over the course of my ten week internship in Canon's Mixed Reality program, I explored new ways Canon's Head Mounted Display could be applied to a variety of industries. One such area was the Automotive Industry in which I developed a First Person Driving Simulator that took advantage of Canon's head tracking methods. This provided the experience of driving a fast sports car in an interesting 3D environment with immersive natural user movement. This was developed though the adaptation of Unity's existing Driving Tutorial with the additions of new models and the Mixed Reality Plug-In. This required extensive camera and control scripting. USB Steering wheel support was also added for more immersion.
