“We work across a large range of sectors including furniture, lighting, consumer goods, scenography and interior design. Our approach takes its roots in sensitivity for materials and industrial processes, and is driven by visual culture and a deep sense of composition.”
Désormeaux/Carrette studio is a collaboration between two French designers.
Nathanaël graduated from a MA at Strate. His first experience as a proper designer was with Michael Young in Hong-Kong. In 2012, he left France to integrate Benjamin Hubert’s studio in London. As Benjamin’s assistant during nearly two years, Nathanaël gained substantial experience and developed his own vision of industrial design.
Damien grew up in Lyon where he studied a BA in industrial design. After an experience as integrated designer at Plastic Omnium, he graduated in 2012 and the same year, he joined Doshi Levien studio in London. During two years, he expanded his competences by working both with interior galleries and industrial companies.
In 2014 they decided to combine their abilities and created Desormeaux/Carrette studio. Today, their creations express a joint vision: a new use of materials and processes for a sensitive result.
