JOB DESCRIPTION
My job description as Senior Industrial Designer at C2P Inc., required me to interact with clients, create work breakdown structures for projects, define timelines for the industrial design phase, identify and establish a strong brand identity for the product in the concept phase. I was also required to define production surfaces for plastic parts of the finalized concept in Solidworks2004 and interact with tooling vendors to ensure manufacturability of the design.

Currently, I have joined Humber College of Appled Technology, Toronto as a Professor to impart my in-depth training and experience in product design, design methodologies and presentation techniques to the design students. I do undertake design projects on a freelance basis.

- Designed, helped engineer, and implement the manufacturing of the IDEA 2005 award winning product ;the "bUnit personal authentication device"
-Designed, helped engineer and implement the manufacturing of the IDEA 2004 award winning product the "Bloomberg Terminal":
-Designed, developed, assisted prototyping and aided in the manufacturing of a twin terminial lottery playstation for the Spielo/GTECH Corporation.
-Designed and developed the award winning P5 Glove, a wearable computing device using solidworks 2001 for gaming applications.
-Designed and developed flat panel LCD systems for Bloomberg Financials.
-Designed, developed and helped implement the manufacturing of a futuristic Internet Kiosk center.
-Designed and developed a hands free faucet system using solidworks 2001.
-Designed and developed, using solidworks 2001, tabletop VLT systems for short run manufacturing.

-Designed and developed multimedia workstation for Spielo Gaming, which has been manufactured.
-Designed and developed the "Atlantis" a futuristic concept for a water filtration system for Brita Canada/US, shown in the above image .
-Designed running boards for Algonquin Automotive on Alias v 8.1
-Designed and developed futuristic concept for a water filtration system for Singer Canada.
-Designed and developed enclosures of mass spectrometer for Perkin Elmer - Sciex, from the point of view of short run manufacturing.
-Designed and developed futuristic concepts for the Black & Decker battery powered grass shear.
-Designed and developed drug sampling and explosives testing, analyzing device for Barringer Corporation, major Canadian corporation.
-Designed and developed multiple head LCD systems.

-Designed and developed injection molded modular domestic electrical switches for the export market. Interfaced with tool design and manufacturing to bring the design to a viable product for Rider International.
-Designed and developed domestic dish washing appliance.
-Developed and co-ordinated manufacturing of merchandisers and display systems for Photophone Ltd.
-Co-ordinated design and developed power amplifier system incorporating modular chassis and value engineering for R & S Electronics.

Product Designer ( Aug 92 - Dec 94 )

-Co-ordinated for design and development of display, merchandising systems and packaging design for cosmetics, perfumes and toiletries for Eurostar Inc., San Antonio, USA.
-Designed and developed packaging for cosmetics and perfumes for Starion Inc., London.
-Designed and developed display and merchandising systems for cosmetics, perfumes, packaging design for perfumes and toiletries. Created concepts for the design of corporate gifts and toys for Unistar International Dubai, UAE. All client presentations were done using Alias and 3D Studio design systems interfaced with Acad. R12.
-Interacted and interfaced and at various cross functional disciplines right from market research to pilot testing of selected designs.

Design Engineer ( Aug 89 - July 90 )
Pam Pharmaceuticals and Allied Machinery

-Worked in a team for the design and development automated capsule filling machine and various other pharmaceutical machine tools. Designed injection mould tools for plastic components.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION’S

I have received the following recognitions in the following international design events.
- Lead Designer in the team that designed, prototyped and manufactured the IDSA IDEA 2005 award winning Bloomberg B.Unit, and the IDSA IDEA 2004 award winning Bloomberg Terminal.
- Honorable Mention at the Sitag Expressions Design Contest -2003
- Design team won the Solidworks 2001 "Grand Prize for the P5 Essential Reality Glove device.
-"Atlantis" Water Filtration System, designed for Brita Canada was selected from amongst Canadian Industrial Designers for the Unlimited by Design 2000 exhibition at the Design Exchange in Toronto, in collaboration with the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution.
-Editors Choice Award 1999 @ Design Engineering Awards "The Dream Station" - Spielo Lottery Terminal designed and manufactured won this award recently.
-Editors Choice Gold Award 1999 @ PITCOM. The mass spectrometer designed for Perkin Elmer - Sciex won the Best New Product Introduction Award at the prestigious 1999 Pittsburgh Conference in Orlando Florida
-Silver Award 1999 for Industrial Design at the IBO (International Business Outlook) awards USA for the Mass Spectrometer.
-Full Entry Scholarship - 1996 Art Center College of Design, Europe and Pasadena.
-International 2nd Prize - 1994 International Idea Design Competition for the Future of Home Entertainment hosted by Sony Corporation, Japan.
-Award of Excellence - 1991 Sony Design Vision - International Student Design Competition hosted by Sony Corporation, Japan.
