Erica is a licensed architect with 11+ years of experience in the design and architectural industry. She earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan where she was involved as a research and design assistant, as well as a graduate student instructor. While working she has gained experience in the commercial, retail, non-profit, and residential sectors, making her a valuable addition to Wheeler Kearns, an award winning architecture firm located in downtown Chicago.
Erica's interests seek to serving the local community and providing buildings that are safe and healthy for occupants. She has served as co-director of outreach & project lead at Architecture for Humanity Chicago for over 4 years. She is also an active member of the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects and is involved in local Mentoring programs in Chicago, providing guidance to college and high school students who are interested in the architectural profession. She has also recently received her WELL AP credential which has helped her revitalize her passion for safe and healthy buildings.
