About

Justin studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design, where he received his BFA in Industrial Design. After entering the job market he designed for a small furniture company, where he designed bedroom suites and home office systems. Shortly after starting his own business he found a need for more knowledge in furniture, in 2008 he started attending the Savannah College of Art and Design for a MFA in furniture design where he developed a thesis topic that deals with public vs. private spaces.

Creative Design Manager – Work collaboratively to direct the creative efforts of the company, which may include graphic design,marketing, promotions, advertising, product development and public relations. Responsible for defining deliverables, estimates, communicating design direction, managing the design process. Manage, coordinate and schedule workflow ensuring deadlines are met.

Structured Green, Savannah, Georgia, 9/2010 – 12/2010
Design Intern – Design and fabrication of modern sustainable furniture. Collaborate with sales team to develop custom designs to meet clients needs. Design products to expand current lines.

Intercontinental Hotel Group, Atlanta, Georgia, 3/2010 – 6/2010
Freelance Designer – Designed furniture for the rebranding of Staybridge hotel chain. Collaborated with a team of designers and Staybridge’s budget to design furniture for the guest suits. Presented initial concepts to a panel of Staybridge and Intercontinental Hotel Group’s designers during a design charrett at Intercontinental Hotel Group headquarters. Redesigned according to their feedback.

Shop Technician –Assist students with modeling and prototyping products. Responsible for shop safety and maintaining the shops. Program and operated rapid prototyping equipment: FDM machines, laser cutter, and large format printing.

Owner/Designer –Custom furniture design and fabrication. Communicated with clients to produce custom furniture designs for residential to retail environments. Fabricated and installed custom designs.

Freelance Designer - Developed creative designs & aesthetics for product lines for the pet products industry. Rapid visualization of concepts for product lines.

Product Developer – Collaborated with a team to launch new product lines and revised old product lines. Produced CAD for product lines implemented standards for materials through design processes. Quality control inspection to minimize recalls. Researched and conceptualized new products.
