I aim to merge ornament and function, two design concepts that are significant and not entirely unrelated. With my designs, I hope to elicit an emotional (and often sentimental) response. I want people to dote on my designs, not just because they are beautiful, but because they are functional as well.

Worked with Target to develop and merchandise new home fragrance collections. Gained experience in market analysis, art direction, and sourcing.

Blissliving Home - textile designer
April 2008 - January 2009
Worked in a close-knit team to develop several coordinating bedding and home dec collections. Created brand-right promotional materials : mass email campaigns, catalogs, and wholesale collateral. Assisted in styling a photoshoot in preparation for Fall/Winter 2008 catalog.

Designed packaging for several home fragrance collections at Target. Traveled to various tradeshows to forecast trends for Spring 2009 product development.

Organized the 2008 Benefit Auction, one of two main revenue sources for SECP.
