I graduated with a BFA in graphic design from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. I also attended Lewis and Clark College for two years, during which time I spent four months in New York City. I discovered my love for design while doing an internship at Escada (a high end fashion company) in Manhattan. I worked with the creative visual depart- ment designing the store layout, window displays, coordinating fashion shows, doing public relations work and advertising.
I also went abroad to India, Nepal and Tibet for four months in 2003. While in Kathmandu, I did an internship at a Thangka painting studio and completed a painting of the Medicine Buddha. I have a passion for traveling to new places and learning from other cultures.
I feel that the experiences and memories I’ve gained from my travels serve as inspiration and affect how I design. To me, to design is to apply style. Style can be defined as a mode of living with respect to elegance, intelligence, fashion and culture. I hope to enrich, beautify and educate with my design.
