SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER PRECIOUS MOMENTS INC. (2010 to 2012) Manage multiple product forms from start to finish for themed seasonal launches. Products include bisque and resin figurines, plush items, pictures frames, ornaments, water globes and various other products. Worked closely with our main licensing partner The Walt Disney Corp. Duties include travel to Asian vendors to supervise assembly and decoration. Trips also include researching new factories to use. Several of my concepts became “best sellers” and Disney was extremely pleased with my creations. Management was very pleased with my speed and major creative contributions to dynamic sales growth during a recessionary period. SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPER WINSTON BRANDS ( formerly COLLECTIONS ETC. (2006 to 2010) Concept Development: Identify and evaluate current market trends with Merchandise Dept. Organize multiple projects, and brainstorm new products forms. Develop ways to differentiate product concepts to make them market firsts within very tight budgets and deadlines. I work with overseas vendors to create designs and present new concepts to Buyers, Senior VP and President for final approval. Products were mainly Home Decor, including kitchen, bath, bedroom, wall decor and outdoor garden items. Many of my concepts were featured on front covers of catalogs. SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPER THE BRADFORD EXCHANGE (2003 to 2005) Concept Development: Identify and evaluate current market successes and create new product templates using art in database, developers brainstorm new products concepts and themes. I worked with freelance talents to create designs and present new concepts to senior level VP for approval. Many tight sketches and photoshopped images were done of concepts. Designed the promotional materials also for direct mail. Many of my templates are still being used with new art being inserted. I had several “Best Sellers” for the company. Product Development: Work with Asian manufacturers, and negotiate pricing and delivery dates. Did sketches, industrial designing including 3 view drawings , exploded views and selection of materials to be used such as ABS, polystyrene, blow molded plastic, among others. Determine other functions such as sound chips, light up mechanisms, and any other client requests. Won the confidence and praise of major clients such as: M&M Mars, Nestle, Hershey's, Kraft,Dannon, Post Cereal, Planters, Energizer, and Keebler. I helped secure new clients as well. SENIOR ART DIRECTOR SIMON MARKETING (1993-2002) Concept Development: Created concepts for our main client: McDonald's. I worked on both adult promotional program materials such as packaging, games, sweepstakes, and Happy Meal toy concepts for the youth division of the agency for nearly four years. I was the only art director utilized for both of those divisions of the agency based on my overall experience in the advertising business. In addition, my talents were utilized to assist managers in new business acquisition of clients such as: Chevron, Blockbuster Video, Old Navy, and several others. Product Development: Presented new product concepts to clients. Utilized video internet calls with overseas vendors to develop toy concepts. Traveled to overseas Toy Fairs in London, Germany, & New York Toy Fairs on a yearly basis to aid in research on new innovations in the toy industry.
