I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Journalism (Visual Communications option) and two minors in french and architecture. After graduation, I worked as a graphic design intern for a local advertising agency in Puerto Rico for 8 months. I specialize mainly in print graphic design, but I am interested in motion graphics and packaging design. This past summer, I had the honor to work as a design intern at Badger & Winters in New York City. I am currently working on my graduate thesis in communications design at Pratt Institute. I am an enthusiastic designer and I love to tell and express stories through visual narrative. As a graduate design student, I have looked beyond making things "look pretty" and focused more on how to strongly communicate an idea through great design. I am inspired by everyday objects as well as by the work of fellow colleagues, Swiss design and music. While in this graduate program, I've developed great interest in motion design. I love how sound/music, rhythm and graphics can come together to create something exciting and unexpected. This is why my graduate thesis will be focusing on sound visualization. My goal is to create a design methodology to help designers and artists create meaningful and engaging visuals for music. After I graduate, I hope to work for an advertising agency or a small design studio in NYC, California, Pennsylvania or London!

As a design intern, I assisted the art and creative directors in daily tasks, as well as coming up with new concepts for campaigns. As part of an intern project, I had the responsibility of creating and designing a motion graphics piece against domestic abuse for AVON.
I worked as a design intern for 8 months at a local advertising agency in Puerto Rico. As an intern, I worked alongside the creative directors, art directors, and copywriters to come up with new concepts for print ads as well as for TV spots. Additionally, I modified existing artwork as well as come up with my own concepts from scratch. During this internship, I was able to polish and refine my illustration and typography skills, as well as my overall design skills.
I created a logo using Illustrator for the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism at Penn State. The project originally started as a class project where students in the class had to submit a logo for the client. My logo was selected out of 16 logo designs. I am currently working on the finishing touches of the logo.
I designed a poster for the 30th Anniversary of the Commission For Women of Penn State University using Photoshop and InDesign. The poster was presented at an awards ceremony and annual luncheon at the Penn Stater Hotel where I was recognized for my work.
I designed the front cover and sports cover of the official Penn State student-run newspaper. I also designed special feature sections of the newspaper as well as making graphics and basic photo illustrations for different articles using Photoshop and Illustrator.
I was a graphic designer for a fashion and lifestyle magazine at Penn State University. I created page layouts for different sections of the magazine, met with photographers, writers, and design director to edit the designs.
I wrote articles for the business section of El Nuevo Dia.
I was editor in chief of a small publication of the College of Communications at Penn State. I was in charge of assigning articles to writers and photographers. I also helped design one of the issues using InDesign.
