FOX MLB PROJECT
I was recently granted permission to post some of my work that I did for FOX Networks last year. The V.P. that created Cleatus for the NFL wanted to do a set of 4 mech baseball players that stood 20 feet tall and would be featured during the MLB (Major League Baseball) games as animated characters.
FOX wanted a technical, sleek and precise look and thought my style might lend itself to what they were envisioning. It was so awesome to be an independent creative lead on this project and follow it through the stages of development.
There was lots of research involved and thinking about how these guys would be animated after I handed them off to the modeling team. I was trying to tell a good story about each character and also develop a compelling major feature to each as well as all of the other player dynamics.
The orthographic views are roughly done for approval before getting into a tighter Illustrator vector version.
