Leapfrog Toys / Emeryville, CA / Preschool Toys Design Manager/ March 2007-Present

At Leapfrog I direct and manage our Emeryville and Hong Kong design toy design teams. Outside of our design team I also work with outside inventors, illustrators, and design firms to supplement our talent base. I have also spearheaded several new internal IP’s for our company along with some outside talent and have won several awards and patents on our toy lines. I work day to day with an ultra talented core-group of Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Design, and Content Designers.


Brunswick Design Studio / Chicago, IL / Senior Designer / May 2005-January 2007

While at Brunswick I worked as a Senior Designer and catered to its ever-growing number of privately held companies. I was the lead designer on our Pontoon division in the USA and in Canada. Also worked directly with our Billiards & Gaming companies,
Navman GPS design and future Life Fitness elliptical designs.


Creata / Chicago, IL / Senior Designer / March 2004- May 2005

Creata is a leading global marketing, product development, and manufacturing company. While at Creata I sourced and created emerging technologies and applied them to client projects such as McDonalds, BIC, Braun, M&M Mars, Nestle, Kellogg's, Oral-B, Virgin, and others.


One 80 Design / New York, NY / Project Manager / Feb 2003-March 2004

One80design is an innovative product design, package structure and ideation firm. We worked with clients such as Crayola, Dial, Huffy Sports, Nestle, PepsiCo and many others. While working at One80 I directed our small team of designers to develop and present design deliverables.

Vtech / South Norwalk, CT / Design Manager/ July 2002- Jan 2003

At Vtech I was the Design Manager for the Preschool line of toys. I worked with our Global Design team to re-launch and innovate the 2003 and 2004 lines of toys. The lines I worked on included “Ready, Set School”, “Learning Adventures”, and the “Play Smart” line.



Fisher Price / Sr. Designer / East Aurora, NY / Mar 1998- June 2002

While being a Sr. Designer for Fisher-Price I worked on various projects including Magna-Doodle, View-Master, Kitchen Centers, Briar-berry Bears, and Sports. My involvement with these projects included everything from hardware and soft goods design, prototyping, content creation, script development, audio talent auditions and management,



Tivoli Too /St. Paul, MN/ Project Design Manager / 1995-98

At Tivoli Too I had the opportunity to deal with a wide variety of character licensed products. These products included everything from the premium toys for Burger King to Warner Brothers in-store merchandise. I brainstormed and concepted ideas, presented to clients, sculpted master models for production, and worked with to attain licensor approvals in a timely manner.


Red Group / Minneapolis, MN / Contract Designer / 1994

At Red Group I worked on a variety of consumer products. Some of our clients and projects included: Hewlett Packard, Bell and Howell, and Sprint. I worked as a contract designer for 3 months and left after the contact was finished.


YMCA Camp Icagowan / Amery, WI / Camp Counselor, River Guide /1990-94

While in college I worked during the summers at Camp Icagowan as a counselor for the 1st part of the summer and a River Guide during at the end of the Season. I really love the outdoors and teaching kids all about it!
