I've spent a career of 20+ years developing & selling fashion accessories, beauty products & promotional gifts for many of the largest retailers such as JCPenney, TJMaxx, Burlington Stores & Charming Charlie. Being comfortable in the fashion world, I've also worked as a stylist, a buyer and a fashion photographer's assistant at Victoria magazine. Combined with my successful sales record, I've also created publicity for individuals as well as companies. In representing an inventor with a new trendy beauty tool, I was able to market and sell the item to teen specialty stores like Hot Topic, Delia's & Wet Seal. Editorially, I placed the beauty tool in publications such as Women's Wear Daily, Entertainment Weekly & Teen People as well as on Fox News. With a unique combination of creative & business skills, I've brought together individuals like a well known celebrity manicurist & partnered her with a new & exciting nail polish line for an event at Henri Bendel in NY. Currently, I'm writing freelance fashion trend articles for The Daily Mini website & am actively looking for additional creative projects. When I'm not working, I enjoy collecting beautiful crafts and miniatures, cooking ( soups are my specialty), crocheting, reading & research, traveling & driving long distances, finding new music & artists, sailing and antiquing. Also, I must mention, I'd like to learn to play drums. Additionally, I've once served as a member of The Board of Directors for New York Fashion Cares-an organization that supports AIDS charities. I've also been a long-time volunteer for The Fresh Air Fund and Share our Strength NY, a yearly charitable event to fight hunger. Recently, I initiated and currently chair a Miniaturist group on MeetUp.
