::EXPERIENCE::

Graphic Design 2007-Present
Freelance designer working primarily in print and web for a variety of clients. Experience developing company identities from ground up, art direction, copy writing, taking projects from conception to completion.

Illustration 2007–Present
Illustration in oil paint, acrylic, mixed media, and digital on commission and for gallery exhibitions.
Work has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Collective Gallery in Brooklyn, NY and the Worth Ryder Gallery in Berkeley, CA.

Aspire Education Project (2007-2008)
Developed identity program based on new logo for a start-up non-profit company.
Designed brochures, letterheads, and numerous company documents.
Assisted web programmer by designing layout and selecting colors for total re-design of company's site.

Assistant to Drafting Consultant (2004)
Worked independently, assisting an architect modify geographical information in AutoCAD. Prepared the drawings used for CAM production of a 3-D graphic model of the Salinas Valley. Completed model was part of a museum exhibit.

Smiling Politely Productions (2003-2005)
Collaborated with small team to organize and run local band shows in numerous SF bay area venues. Designed and distributed promotional materials, photographed performances, booked bands and venues, created schedules, set up and ran sound system, and otherwise ensured that events ran smoothly.

Higher Learning at Oakland High School (2006-2007)
Academic mentor at a non-profit college preparation and leadership development program for students from low-income, non-college educated families. Provided academic tutoring, assisted with college applications and personal essays, served as mentor and role model. Initiated and taught a no-cost SAT prep course.

University Student Co-op Association (2004, 2006)
Kitchen manager for 38 person student co-op. Purchased food and supplies, managed the budget, ensured kitchen and dining areas met city health codes, coordinated daily meals with cooks.

Ivy Review (2003)
SAT I preparation instructor. Independently taught classes of 10-20 students. Improved students� SAT scores in math and English.

SCORE! Educational Center (2001-2002)
Supervised and tutored large groups of K-9 students in computer-based academic center. Improved students� motivation and academic performance through positive reinforcement and building mentor relationships. Gained experience in data entry, telephone work, customer service, and marketing.
