OBJECTIVE Inspire and grow a collaborative team whose commitment to ambitious design matches my own. PROJECTS Sector 5: Catalyst for evolution, reform, and growth. Lead a company of 45 thru the development and implementation of a new identity, brand, and office design. The Sector 5 brand embodies our fun loving culture, and the advanced technology infused experiences that we develop for our clients. Eurocopter/Airbus Helicopters: Developed an exhibit program for a leading helicopter company within a short time frame. Concept included 5 helicopters, 8 conference rooms in two story structure, projected glass touch screen interactive stations, 4 presentation areas, and 14 demo counters in a 120'x120' space. Developed strong trust and friendship with the client, which allowed very ambitious ideas to be realized. Program extended 6 years and expanded to Europe in 2013 due to success. Windscape: Incepted and collaborated on an entirely new direction for exhibiting structure, replacing typical extruded metal framework with an innovative inflated airframe. Resulted in a product that has had an enormous impact on exhibiting and pop up marketing; making it easier, faster, less expensive and far more sustainable. Polaroid CES: Through an intensive process, developed an experience which expressed a revitalized brand, culminating in a launch of Lady Gaga's exciting new products before the amassed press and attendees at CES 2010. Surpassed client's hopes by reaching top 5 in trending topics globally. Still serve as design lead on this program. Nike ACG: Worked with design team to create engaging customer experience for extreme sportswear retail brand. Developed innovative and bold materials, finishes, and color palettes. Designed store plans to thoughtfully consider brand, retail flow, sight lines, adjacencies, and merchandising. Hands on at install. 22 stores at top ski destinations in the world. Clients include: Airbus, Wilsonart, Lennox, Ericsson, Eurocopter, Polaroid, Mario Bitali, West Marine, Nike ACG, Callaway Golf, Honeywell, Landscape Structures, Kinko's COMMUNICATION Built strong rapport with vendors, sales reps and clients by listening between the lines. Challenged them with developing trends and encouraged innovation. Ability to translate design goals and intent to manufacturers. Desire to empower all team members by seeking input. Streamline design process by recognizing talent and delegating appropriate tasks. Demonstrated leadership initiative by presenting new materials and inspiring potential usage. Ability to foresee and avert possible functional or design problems. MATERIALS Obsessed with processes/materials–seeing potential in the mundane, inspiration in the unlikely. Challenge convention and tradition through exploration, experimentation, adaptation, cross fertilization. Always attempting to smuggle processes/materials across industry border lines and re-contextualize them. Resourceful research ability, using industry terminology and online sourcing.
